At the end of February/beginning of March strange new road signs appear:
This is to warn drivers that they are approaching a frog breeding ground and that migratory frogs may be found attempting to cross the road. In order to decrease the death toll, special borders are constructed along the sides of the road and, at intervals, special tunnels have been built under the road to allow the frogs safe passage.
This may make you smile but hundreds of frogs crossing an unprotected road can be quite a safety hazard to the unwary driver.
