I caught this pheasant in flight while on holiday recently. I had stalked him (in the car) and at the last minute the lady pheasant took off (not shown) closely followed by the very handsome male.

excellent shot of the pheasant
Great capture of the Pheasant in flight, hard to get.
The background is lovely. Where are those fields? Nice job. Mine is here: http://annefreemanimages.wordpress.com/
Hi Anne, the pheasant photo was taken on Exmoor, in North Devon, South West UK when I was there a couple of weeks ago, it was bitterly cold and we only had a couple of days decent weather. We saw loads of pheasants but it was really difficult to photograph them. I stalked this one and his mate before they both took off. I’ve got a photo of her in flight too. Thanks for stopping by. Loved your cheetahs, btw Carol

I thought your photo might be from the British Isles. Their fields seem to have a look all of their own. Thanks for providing the details. Gald you enjoyed the cheetahs.
Hya traveller2006 – seeing as there hasn’t been an official weekly photo challenge this week, I’m stepping up and throwing down a challenge for anyone who’s interested. http://wheresmybackpack.wordpress.com/2012/05/12/reflections/
I’d love you to join in – the more the merrier. Pass it on. xxx
