In photography, the “golden hour” is the first and last hour of sunlight of the day.

In Cambodia (along with hundreds of other people), we got up at the crack of dawn to be at the Angkor Wat temple complex when the sun came up

In Provence last week I snapped this lavender field and corn field in the golden hour when the setting sun gilded the corn a deeper shade, not knowing that this would be a future challenge theme
