Since Friday is Valentine’s day it seems fitting to share some Valentine images. It is always an occasion for splashing out on something colourful in Samui.

Valentine Dunkin’ Donut hearts on sale in Thailand

The excitement is over and lucky people all over the world have been notified of their winnings and are now waiting with bated breath for the arrival of the postman.

Jasmine at Nature’s Whispers was the lucky winner of my giveaway but she will have to be patient a little longer to see what she has won.

Although I didn’t win anything, I was lucky in other ways: I have had the chance to wander through the pages of blogland and discover some wonderful blogs waiting for a rainy day and time to explore them.

Love is in the air

Valentine’s Day, the sun is shining and the sky is blue so I decided to go for a walk in the town centre at lunchtime to see how some of the shop windows had been decorated for the occasion. It seemed that love was indeed in the air …….

The rose covered heart cushions are under glass domes which had perfect reflections of the buildings opposite them. This was really difficult to photograph successfully as I didn’t want myself to be in the picture and the window was all steamed up as well.
